A five frame nucleus colony comes with five deep frames of drawn comb in a Jester EZ Nuc. Two frames are food/honey frames, and three of the frames will contain various stages of baby bees: eggs, larvae, and capped brood. Each five frame nucleus colony comes with a newly mated 2026 queen. You can purchase a transport box, or provide your own box to transport your new colony. We will contact you a week ahead letting you know when to pick up your nucleus colony.
The deposit per colony is $50.00 and is non-refundable. You can also pay in full by selecting the option pay in full and the number of colonies you are ordering. The price of these nucleus colonies is $185.00.
Transportation boxes are $25.00 each and are refundable if returned in good condition within 10 days. Marked queens are $5.00 extra. You can select the number in the drop down menus.
Only change the number beside the “Add to Cart” Button if you are only paying a deposit per nucleus colony. If you are paying in full, let the number at 1 so that it doesn’t overcharge you at check out.
Specify the number of transport boxes and marked queens you would like, these are payable at pickup.
Specify your pick up location above. Delivery is weather dependent and is tentatively scheduled for June 8 in Carlisle. Pick up dates can come earlier or later depending on weather.
The amount paid for transportation boxes in good condition and returned within 10 days will be refunded.
We are a state inspected apiary and are licensed to sell nucleus hives as well as queens.
